Light & Fly Co. was built from the water up.

Long before it was a brand, it was a way of life—early mornings on the Texas coast, wading shallow flats with a fly rod in hand, chasing redfish under a rising sun. It was learning patience from the tides, reading the wind, and finding clarity somewhere between cast and catch.

Growing up along the Gulf Coast, founder William Townsend spent his days fishing, exploring, and sketching the moments most people miss—the way light hits the water, the movement of fish beneath the surface, the feeling of being completely present in the outdoors. What started as a passion for fishing naturally evolved into art, and eventually into something bigger.

Light & Fly Co. is the intersection of those worlds.

We create apparel and artwork inspired by the waterman lifestyle—surf, sun, salt, and the quiet pursuit of something just out of reach. Every design pulls from real experiences on the coast, blending fishing, surf culture, and a deep respect for the environment.
